I am not a girl who normally wear much pink - but for some reason, I love it for the gym and working out! Maybe it makes me feel girly when I am sweating like a boy :) This is my fit inspiration board for 2011!.. plus my mom got me pink workout gloves and my boyfriend got me a pink gym bag for Christmas. I am set!!

Rainy Day Workout!!

I traveled to Minnesota for business last week and stayed @ the Westin. The fitness facility was SO nice, but I didn't get a chance to use it. I was so tired from work and travel and all those work dinners! Hence -- I really needed to work out this week. It has been pouring "terrential" rain (that is the term they use on the news and it sounds so serious! i don't even know if i spelled it right, but you get the idea).. so even though I have been working from home today and yesterday, I have not had a chance to walk outside. And, with all the holiday treats around the office and holiday get-togethers, I needed to get my butt moving.

Yesterday I finally did a workout. I actually found something really cool. Fitness ON Demand!! We have Time Warner Cable, and our ON Demand channel has TONS of workouts for free ON Demand. I can try yoga, pilates, cardio, weights, etc., without ever having to leave home. I am hoping to get the motivation to walk on my treadmill downstairs today and catch up on some Dexter shows, but yesterday I did the Jackie Warner power curcuit - full body workout. See DVD link in this post. It was 40 minutes and I am actually pretty darn sore today!! I liked the rotation of it, I got my sweat on, and I didn't get bored. I hate those long DVDs that just bore you and you can't wait for them to be over. This one had each body part or body part group -- 3 sets of workouts for each one, then a burn out set of all 3, then on to the next. And if those abs don't inspire you, I don't know what will. I think I have a girl crush on Jackie Warner. Or I just want to BE her lol.

Oooh!! Ahh! Protein Fudge!! Chocolate PB!

Happy Friday!! Got another yummy recipe from Fitness & Spice today and tweaked it with what I had on hand. Protein Fudge (Chocolate PB), oh my! 

You need: 1/4 cup - Chocolate Protein Powder (I used my fave, Whey Gourmet - Peanut Butter Chocolate), 1/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (I used Vanilla), 1/4 cup chocolate chips (I used Ghirardelli semi-sweet) and (the best part) 1/4 cup peanut butter (I used my fabulous yummy Dark Chocolate Dreams by Peanut Butter & Co). 

 
Stir all the ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl...


Then, heat in the microwave for about 20-25 seconds, until the chips are about halfway melted. Take out & put on a glass baking dish (SPRAY WITH COOKING SPRAY!) I forgot to do this, so mine stuck to the bottom lol. Put it in the fridge for about 45 min-1 hour.. then EAT! Makes about 4 fudge squares.. I made about 6 and had to eat with a spoon since I forgot to spray the dish. But it was UH MAZING. I would have even eaten it after microwaving it, before chilling it. So good! :) Oh, I think I would like it with some walnut pieces in it too :) Note to self!

I love my coffee in the morning, but...

I spilled hot coffee on my crotch this morning, getting into the vanpool van at the park n ride lot!!! Omg!
1. It hurt really bad. And it still hurts. Ouch. :(
2. I had to put my workout pants on in my car before we left since my pants were soaked and the pool we park at was not open yet.
3. My phone got wet and I had to take it apart to try and dry it. I hope I don't have to buy a new phone.  
4. I am sitting at work (in a corporate office lol) in black gym capris, while my pants & undies are still drying.
5. Good thing I wore flats today, or I would have boots and socks on with my gym pants!! Or I would have to put tennis shoes on! OMG.
Ugh! Happy Thursday to me! 
Well, TGIF tomorrow, geez!!
